Mortlake

Structural concrete works and electrical trenching at Mortlake power station. Being a 500kV live substation yard, extreme care and awareness of the construction site was required to safely and efficiently, complete our scope of works.

RAAF East Sale

Vic Civil is the main civil contractor undertaking the installation of the new Airfield Ground Lighting infrastructure at RAAF East Sale. The works are to occur throughout 2019 and 2020, with Vic Civil works being undertaken ahead of Asphalting and Civil Works. The time critical works are undertaken in a staged approach to avoid impacting airfield operations.

Malvern Tram Depot

Maintenance excavation works within the Malvern tram depot. This involved a detailed excavation for a nominal maintenance pit, whilst protecting and maintaining structural columns within the building. Vic Civil then completed the construction of the basement and completed concrete infill works.

Wyndham Vale Stabling Yard

Vic Civil completed 335 lineal metres of rail approved handrail and train driver walkway install during an Easter occupation over 7 days. This involved drilling 126 no. piles into rock, in which a reinforced pile was poured to allow handrail stanchions to be fixed to. In order to achieve the works within the allocated timeframe, two 12-hour shifts were utilised per 24-hour period, in which two separate crews would work to ensure all works were accomplished prior to the end of the occupation.

Plenty Road

Civil contractor engaged to complete bridge remediation works on Plenty Road South Morang. The works involved the coordination of traffic on the high-volume Plenty Road, and coordination of site deliveries (concrete, asphalt etc.) in a way which minimised the impact to traffic and safety to the public. The project ran to a strict programme and all items were delivered on time and to Vic Roads specifications and approval.

Middy’s Oakleigh

An old petrol station was the location for a new Middy’s store in Oakleigh. As expected there were underground fuel tanks that needed to be pumped and disposed of appropriately, and the surrounding soils to be tested and treated as required. Additionally Vic Civil completed the bulk earthworks and placement of structural fill to the site to enable the structural slab and civil pavement works to follow.
