The Bell to Moreland project sees the removal of 4 level crossings within the suburb of Coburg through construction of a section of a 2.2 km Sky Rail Bridge structure.
Vic Civil were contracted to undertake construction of approximately 12,000 m2 of hardstand to enable the mobilisation of piling rigs and mobile cranes for the construction of the bridge structure.
The initial 24/7 construction program extended for a period of 13 days however during the delivery phase Vic Civil completed works within 7 days – a fantastic effort by all involved.
Following on from the hardstand scope, Vic Civil were awarded the reinstatement of Moreland, Munro and Reynard Streets. These works again were undertaken on 3 separate occupations, with all roads opened on time.
